“Gabay at Lingkod” means to guide and serve. Our adopted community and school is the Francisco Benitez Elementary School 3. We help in a holistic way, guided by Rotary’s seven areas of focus.

The median family income of our adopted community sits in the lower quartile of the Philippine society. We serve by providing tools to improve the quality of their daily lives.

Livelihood skills and funding

With hands-on livelihood seminars in meat processing, we train adults with new skills. We provide start-up business funds to winners of a community contest.

Sanitized water systems

The community school now has sanitized water. For children to grow up healthy and happy, they need access to clean water, proper sanitation, and good hygiene.

In collaboration with Knowledge Channel Foundation, the “Basa Bilang” project teaches teachers proven techniques to strengthen a child's early reading skills - a fundamental requisite for a strong educational foundation.

“Bagong Sibol” is a workshop that helps build skills for conflict management. With better interpersonal skills, people improve their work and family relationships. We harnessed the expertise of top university professors and our very own medical member experts to deliver these workshops.

Peace Heroes: An Anti-Bullying Campaign

Peace Heroes: Take a Stand, Lend a Hand” is a three-part anti-bullying campaign. School officials and teachers learn to recognize the problem and co-create an environment of mutual respect and empathy.

Artwork For Peace

Children ages 10-13 years old participated in "Artwork for Peace," a contest where they expressed the values of peace and good citizenship through artwork. This initiative promoted peer collaboration and challenged the children to think about their impact on promoting peace.

Every year we treat deserving students during Christmas - whether its book reading or a trip to KidZania, where they experienced immersive and fun role-playing scenarios, learning valuable life skills in a safe and interactive environment.
